Automatically synchronize customers from Shopify to Odoo ERP with Synco.
Mandatory Customer Creation
Even if you disable auto customer sync from app settings, customers will still be created in Odoo when an order is placed. This is because customers are mandatory for orders in Odoo — every order must have an associated customer.
Auto Customer Sync
Auto Customer Sync automatically synchronizes customers from your Shopify store to Odoo ERP system. When a new customer is created in your Shopify store, it will be automatically synced to Odoo. Additionally, if an existing customer's data is changed in Shopify, those changes will also be automatically synced to Odoo.
How It Works
New Customer Creation
When a new customer is created in your Shopify store:
- The customer is automatically detected via webhook
- Customer data is synced to Odoo based on your settings
- Customer appears in your Odoo system as Individual or Company (based on your configuration)
Existing Customer Updates
When an existing customer's data is changed in Shopify:
- The changes are automatically detected
- Updated customer information is synced to Odoo
- Customer data in Odoo is updated with the latest information
App Settings
Enable Auto Customer Sync
- Navigate to Settings → Customer Settings
- Toggle the Customer Settings switch to enable auto sync
- Customers will automatically sync when created or updated in Shopify
Create Customer As
Choose how customers are created in Odoo:
- Individual: Creates customers as individual contacts in Odoo (default)
- Company: Creates customers as companies in Odoo
You can select either Individual or Company. These options are mutually exclusive - selecting one will unselect the other. By default, Individual is selected.
Configuration Options
You can control auto customer sync behavior through your app settings:
- Enable/Disable: Toggle automatic customer synchronization
- Customer Type: Choose whether to create customers as Individual or Company
- Auto Sync: Customers sync automatically via webhooks when created or updated in Shopify
